SPS Linux live images for 2026-09-06-1.

Use these instead of 2026-09-04-1.

What changed since 2026-09-04-1:

• New sget config-status command. When an upgrade keeps a locally

edited protected file and writes the newest packaged default beside it as .sps-new, review what that update left for you:

  sget config-status                       list changed protected files
  sget config-status openssl               limit the list to one package
  sget config-status --raw                 tab-separated records
  sget config-status --diff /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf

The command is read-only: it hashes the installed tree against the installed database, reports which protected files differ from what their package recorded, flags pending .sps-new defaults (including the .sps-new.VERSION-RELEASE collision spelling), and diffs a local file against its packaged default. Merging stays a manual step, per DESIGN. sget install, upgrade, and remove now remind you to run it when a default is pending review.

• pkin never clobbers a second existing .sps-new.VERSION-RELEASE

sibling that differs from the default it would write. The older staged default is kept for review instead of being overwritten.

sps-core and sps-extra are unchanged since the previous disc.

This disc is built from SPS bb015cf, sps-core d72a194, and sps-extra cb6e0b9.

118 core recipes and 906 extra recipes are on the disc.

Assets:

• sps-live.iso - console live image with recipes and a compiler
• sps-live-slim.iso - small console image; setup needs the network
• sps-live-plasma.iso - Plasma/Wayland live session (Konsole -> setup)

Checksums are in SHA256SUMS.

Flash the tty image for a source install. Slim has no gcc.
