Splux is an independent source-based Linux distribution using SPS, the Source Package System.

SPS is built from small POSIX shell and AWK tools. Packages are described by text recipes in Git repositories and built locally. The system is intended for users who want to understand and maintain their installation directly.

SPS the package system is not locked to Splux. The same tools can be used on other Unix-like trees. Splux is the distribution that uses SPS for its installer, live images, and official package collections.
